Â鶹´«Ã½ and Pasadena City College (PCC) have partnered to make the path from PCC to Â鶹´«Ã½ clearer and more flexible. Through the PCC-Â鶹´«Ã½ Transfer Agreement you can plan your PCC coursework confidently, knowing which courses will fulfill Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Core Program requirements, while getting support from both PCC and Â鶹´«Ã½ as you prepare to transfer.

You’ll also have more opportunities to connect with Â鶹´«Ã½ admission counselors, visit campus, learn about financial aid and affordability, and get to know the Oxy community.

Plan Your Path to Oxy

The PCC-Â鶹´«Ã½ articulation agreement identifies PCC courses that fulfill many of Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Core Program requirements, helping you make informed choices about your coursework before you transfer. Review the agreement with your PCC transfer counselor to plan your courses and see how they apply toward an Â鶹´«Ã½ degree.

Â鶹´«Ã½ing to Â鶹´«Ã½

PCC students apply to Â鶹´«Ã½ through the same transfer admission process as other transfer applicants. Reminder: Â鶹´«Ã½s welcomes transfer students after just one semester–you can apply during your first year at PCC in the spring or the fall.

Spring admission deadline: November 1
Fall admission priority deadline: March 1

Private College Is More Affordable Than You Think

Don’t let the published cost of a private college keep you from considering Â鶹´«Ã½. Oxy meets 100% of demonstrated financial need for admitted U.S. citizens and permanent residents, and transfer students are eligible for merit scholarships and need-based financial aid.

I have a brother who transferred into a top UC the same year I transferred to Oxy, and the differences in our respective experiences has given me even greater appreciation for my college. [At Oxy] you are an essential piece of the whole. Oxy has welcomed me with open arms, and a year later, there is no doubt in my mind that I am a valued member of this beautiful community.

Transfer Admission FAQs

No. Â鶹´«Ã½ does not charge an application fee. We believe that cost should not be a barrier to opportunity, and we want every student to feel welcome and encouraged to apply—no fee, no waiver needed.

To earn your degree, you’ll need to complete at least 64 of the required 128 units at Â鶹´«Ã½, so you may transfer in up to 64 units from previous institutions. However, to be eligible to apply as a transfer student, you must have completed at least 16 units (one full-time semester) by the time of enrollment.

While we consider all eligible applicants, those who are most competitive typically have a 3.6 GPA or higher in full-time academic coursework at an accredited college or university.

Most transfer students live in on-campus housing alongside fellow transfers and continuing students. Housing assignments are based on availability and preferences, and Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s residential communities are designed to support a smooth and connected transition to campus life. Students may also request approval to live off campus.
